Who decides the price on fixed price listings?

You may suggest a price for fixed price listings. However, they must be in line with recent sold prices on trusted marketplaces such as ebay or TCG Player. We will do our own research to determine what an accurate list price can be. For rare or unique items that do not have much sales data, we can work together to insure it is priced fairly based on past data or comparable items.

Where are fixed price items listed for sale?

Fixed price consignments are listed in 3 places:

1. Our website - rdocollectibles.ca

2. Exposure on our Instagram Page - @rdocollectibles

  • via 1 or more of the following: reels, posts or stories

3. They will be taken to local shows or events that we attend to sell in person

Why would I do Auctions vs. Fixed Price?

Potential for Higher Bids: Auctions can generate excitement and competition, potentially driving the final price higher, especially for rare or in-demand items.

Time-Sensitive Sales: If you need to sell quickly, auctions typically last 7, which can lead to a faster sale and faster cash in your hands.

Engagement: Bidding can create a sense of engagement among buyers, which might encourage more people to watch or participate.

What should I consider when deciding between Auctions vs. Fixed Price?

Item Type: For unique or collectible items, auctions might attract more attention. For common items, Buy It Now might be more effective.

Market Demand: Research similar items to see which method typically yields better results in your niche.

Liquidity: How important is it for you to have the money soon? Do you need the money to another purchase or life event? If so, auctions will be your best bet.

Are there any hidden fees?

No!

Any fees associated with paypal/transaction,shipping, ebay, returns and disputes are all covered by us!

Terms and Conditions of Consignment

RDO Collectibles, reserves the right to reject any items based on a variety of factors including but not limited to, suspicion of alterations, trimming, recolouring, if reported stolen, authenticity issues and other factors. If discovered after the item has already been listed, it will be removed and the consigner as well as the appropriate authorities may be notified (if applicable).

Once an item is consigned and received, the item will be placed in the queue to be auctioned in our earliest weekly auction or placed into inventory for fixed prices listings on our website. RDO Collectibles reserves the right to move a consignment to the following week for optimal auction results. It is the consigners responsibility to communicate any special qualities related to an item (unique error card, special provenance, etc) otherwise, customers will have an opportunity to request a revision of a listing. Once RDO Collectibles receives a consignment, we will only return the items back to the consignor if the item is unpaid via the eBay platform for three auctions in a row, once originally and two relist attempts. We are able to auction for the fourth time if the consignor wishes but fees may apply. Return shipping is to be paid by the consignor or they can arrange a pickup, free of charge.

All auction items are listed in our Sunday night weekly auction. The auction slot may begin at 7pm EST and may end at 12:30 am EST. All auctions start at .99 cents, unless otherwise negotiated at no reserve 7-day auctions. As a consignor you understand the merits of an auction and that the highest paid bidder is the rightful owner of the card after an auction. It is RDO Collectibles right to list the item at anytime within our auctions hours.

It is strictly prohibited for sellers or any affiliated parties to engage in shilling or self-bidding on items listed on the Store. Such activities undermine the integrity of the bidding process and violate eBay's policies. If we determine a consigner or affiliate has engaged in shilling or self-bidding, we reserve the right to remove the item, cancel the sale, suspend or terminate our services, and report the violations. If the consignor wins their own item back, it will not be returned but rather relisted until sold to a legitimate party If an item does not meet the requirements for auction (e.g. raw cards that do not receive any bids at the end of auction) there will be a reprocessing fee applied in addition to the shipping cost if the consigner wishes to have the item returned to them. The reprocessing fee is subject to change. Payouts are to be sent to the consignor within 5 business days (Friday) after auction end.

RDO Collectibles reserves the right to adjust fixed price listing prices if an item has not sold in 30 days due to market changes or initial mispricing. Due to the nature of social media selling and in-person selling at events such as tradeshows, the consignor and RDO Collectibles may agree to a price model where an item can be sold in person or on social media for a flexible price. For example, a card listed at $100 can be sold for $90 in person or via social media channels if a potential buyer has legitimate interest.

Fixed priced items not sold after 90 days will be subject to the following options:

1. Relisting via eBay auctions to facilitate the sale

2. Heavily discounted to facilitate a sale

3. Returned to the consignor at their expense

One option must be selected by the consignor at this time.
